No checkers app has any right having this many or this aggressive of ads. That being said, if you close and reopen the app while the ads are running, you can bypass them. You will have to do this between each match. If they find a way to fix this, I will just delete every app I have from this developer. They claim to have a lower ad rate and try to make it sound like its easy to skip the ads, but that isn't the case and doesn't make it any less obnoxious.
I've been playing games from this company for many years. Suddenly, in this game and others, in the middle of a game, a little jingle will start playing. It is not tied to an ad, and it kills any other audio playing like a podcast or music. Not a temp pause, just dead stop. I have turned off sound in the app. The only cure is to kill the game. WHAT is this? Why can't I control this?
I understand that ads pay for letting me use an app or game without having to buy it, but when the ads start to come one after another, then refuse to close when I tap the "x", any enjoyment quickly isn't worth it. Instead of closing the ads, it opened a page to install the stuff from the ads. I uninstalled the checkers app *Edit: The developer's response was that they can't control what the advertisers do. Well, you let them drag your name thru the mud and it's cost you at least one user
I haven't played checkers in years. I forgot how fun the game is. I have continued to go through the skill levels. 2nd review: I've been enjoying this game for a while now.. moved up the skill level and love my "simple" accomplishments. It's always a challenge and lots of fun. I recommend to friends and think everyone should give it a try.
