Very slow to load, often needs several attempts and all other apps have to be closed down. It seems to want to be online all the time so often stops working where there is no wifi, such as on public transport. It should not have to "verify my subscription" in order for me to read an edition I have already downloaded. The previous version was much better and I can't understand why they changed it. It also keeps updating, so I often find that I have already read many of the articles
For the last few weeks a significant proportion of pages will not load for reading. I have tried reinstalling, clearing memory on my device, etc. This morning I loaded the app onto my wife's Samsung tablet, which is newer than mine and the same pages won't load, so it's clearly a problem with the app. I like the paper, but the app is making it unreadable. Oh, and I have to clear data weekly still in order for the paper to load at all....
I prefer the layout of this Classic app but for some time now it has been difficult to use. I have persevered but this week but it has become almost unusuable: a large number of the articles just hang when I try to open them. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times without success and I fear I will now have to abandon using it. No doubt the Times people will write some 'caring' comment below but as usual do nothing about it, don't believe them, it's rubbish
I wish there was the option to give zero. This is the app I love the most but the one I dread to open as it's so inherently unstable to be near useless. I have spent over an hour today uninstalling/installing to read one article but no joy. To the Times I would seriously suggest you need to invest/ sort this out or just close it please! I don't think you have really had a commitment to the Classic App for a number of years which is a crying shame.
