Very fun game with tons to keep your interest. my only real complaint is how utterly expensive the cash shop is. I'm usually ok with a $5 monthly card and occasionally an offer. but everything in this is double what I would comfortably pay for it. too bad. i would support. the vip is pretty good but it's just too expensive and then there's battle passes and quest passes and geeze endless money. but the gameplay is fun and you can do it without any of that. i would spend if better deals
This is the best RPG Match 3 game I have played. It has an easy game play, many different battle scenarios, and has not been pay-to-play. The only issue I have is that it constantly crashes with the new update. I lost all my progress (had 4 level 50 characters and a lot of mythical/legendary gear) and couldn't recover my account. I liked it enough to start over. Please fix the bug that causes the game to crash. It is still the best RPG Match 3 on the market.
They have you buy more in game currency than you need to purchase the monthly goal items instead of letting you pay the exact amount in cash. The game itself is fun enough. I haven't run into a hard wall yet but it progresses slowly (which is fine f2p imo). It freezes about every third match so you can't make matches (it at least saves where you were). As a long term,low money, low commitment game i think it will be pretty good, as long as you watch out for their early 2000's style traps.
Don't be fooled; this is not a strategic game like 1 and 2. This is a mindless numbers game. Every enemy is a stat check, attacking every turn no matter what to ensure you can't progress without grinding. I don't think I've ever done any grinding in a Puzzle Quest game before. Gear and stats have been dumbed down to just "number go up", as opposed to affecting the way the game is played, and only having four spell slots feels awful compared to the 8 we used to have. Bring PQ 1+2 back!
