About this app
Find which neighboring squares must be painted and create a beautiful picture! Each puzzle consists of a grid containing clues in various places. The object is to reveal a hidden picture by painting the squares around each clue so that the number of painted squares, including the square with the clue, matches the value of the clue.
Fill-a-Pix are exciting logic puzzles that form whimsical pixel-art pictures when solved. Challenging, deductive and artistic, this original Conceptis puzzle offers the ultimate mix of logic, art and fun while providing solvers with many hours of mentally stimulating entertainment.
The game features a unique fingertip cursor which enables playing large puzzle grids with ease and precision: to fill a square, move cursor to the desired location and tap anywhere on the screen. To fill multiple squares, press and hold fingertip until cursor fills the square and start dragging to neighboring squares. The game also features a powerful Smart-fill cursor for quick, single-tap filling of all remaining empty squares around a clue.
To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved. A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.
For more fun, Fill-a-Pix contains no ads and includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

I've been doing these puzzles for several years now, and I love this app! I actually have several apps by Conceptis that I play. I even have them all together in a folder labeled Conceptis games lol. My only complaint is that I wish you'd offer freebie packs every once in a while🫣. But the free weekly puzzle is awesome! And the best part is all of your apps is NO ADS!!!! 😲❤️ Please keep them that way!
There are a couple of features it would be nice to see (mostly dark mode and a tutorial for advanced puzzles), but it's a good, *fun* puzzle game. I've also never seen this "minesweeper nonogram" style of puzzle before, which makes it unique, too. Update 5/2024: Dark mode has landed! Unfortunately, the puzzle colors don't invert, so the menus are nice, but solving puzzles is still pretty bright. 🙁
There's something to be said at the feeling of accomplishment one gets when solving a difficult puzzle that while simple on the surface, is one that requires logical deduction exclusively. Sudoku and Picross are the more well known of the games that provide us these feelings, but Fill-A-Pix is just as good as those, especially if you are like me where other logic games started getting rote and too easy. This will require a different approach to logical deduction than those other games, meaning one more fun way to exercise your brain. An excercise that even Spock himself would approve of, saying to it, "Live long and prosper."
Excellent fun. Only thing to watch out for is that if your device has swipe from edge to go back, it's very easy to accidentally exit a puzzle when filling in a set of boxes near the edges of the puzzle. You can return to the puzzle easily without loosing progress, but it's somewhat annoying. Cursor mode (accessible in the settings) fixes this, but feels a little clunkier.
