For the first few hours, the game was fun. Then, I reached campaign level 13 and hit a brick wall. The 1st wave has 5 attacking ships and no combination of initial parts gets you past them. It DOES let you retry (for an ad) and get an extra component (for another ad), but even after spending 3 HOURS watching dozens of ads and assembling an absolute monster of a ship, I still can't beat even the FIRST WAVE. It's either sit there all day or pay to win. It's a shame because the concept is good.
The game was fun to start but I had to stop playing because the campaign is unbeatable and it honestly just comes down to bad level design. Why would you make me fight 3-5 ships on the first wave when I have virtually nothing to protect myself with? It seems like they just want you to pay for the weapon improvements but even with that I don't think it would be possible. Make the campaign that it doesn't send more than two ships on the first wave and I may be interested in playing, but not as is.
•Game is mostly pay-to-win, with a lot of microtransactions •Lots of ads, both banner and full-screen, both forced and optional •Progresses similar to Earn-to-die, in that you do a run, get money, buy upgrades, then go again, though this game has a roguelike twist. potentially good if there was more depth, but it feels more like a demo than a full game as far as the content goes •The merge mechanics and ship-building can be fun
When you get to play it's fun to shuffle parts and do matches, but that's rare. This game plays about 1 minute for every 4 minutes of adverts, it's extremely advertisement heavy, on top of pushing purchases very aggressively. Would not recommend it based on these. Every match requires some form of advertisement whether you win or lose and to complete many levels even early on requires several ads for bonus equipment or to restore parts that had no reason to be destroyed or otherwise.
