The game exudes all the charm and quality that you can associate with the Kingdom Rush franchise, and the ideas like the boosters you pick between waves are super fun in concept, but it is so not a Kingdom Rush game. It is so much more worth your time to go download and play any of their other games 10 times over vs playing this game and grinding away for meager rewards. I'd say they gave it their best shot, but mobile slop is still just mobile slop, no matter how pretty you dress it up.
This is Ironhide studios attempt at doing something similar to clash royale. The art and gameplay of the game are usually of high quality. But there are some gripes. Even though I have a good wifi connection, it will kick me out of the games. Flying heroes seem to have worse targeting. Past games would allow you to kill the enemy even when it's past the finish line, not this one. And it doesn't tell you whether or not the opponent leaves the game, along with compensation of trophies
Are you looking for a game that can be won by spending more money. If you like taking the easy way out by buying over powered characters instead of just trying to improve, Kingdom Rush Battles is for you. There's nothing like winning a few games and improving your level and then having to face off in battles where you are outmatched because some people dump a bunch of money into a game because they have no skill. So if you have extra disposable income come and win at Kingdom Rush Battles!
I'm a huge fan of Ironhide games but this missed the mark. The charm isn't there anymore. It's fun for awhile but then you notice the constant $$$ ads to buy characters and content thrown in your face. It slowly becomes pay to win unfortunately. Either grind for hours and hours while losing a lot to players who bought content, or spend a ton of money to keep up. What a shame...
