Dictionary apps are generally worse than one would think, for some reason (most developed by MobiSystems). This is easily the best of the bunch. I was using AHD, but the ads were so intrusive, subscription eye-poppingly expensive, and the app itself like something from 2010. I'm paying for the ad-free M-W now for a very reasonable price and am very pleased. The app feels modern and professional. Whatever you do, don't just Google words.
I have used this dictionary for years. I was happy to support it by viewing unobtrusive, decent advertising, but recently the adds have become obnoxious! I have recently had adds that I cannot figure how to get rid of once they show up. I have to minimise the app and then force the app to close. I am done and going to support someone else.
dude like ... T F ! ! I'm sure I'm not the only one.. It's been over a week and the App force closes every time try to open it. EVERY single time. And have a paid subscription. Which about to sadly unsubscribe from. There hasn't been a update for the longest. I can't be the only one with this problem. But nonetheless. I have to unfortunately find another app that doesn't force close Every single time.
Oof, this would be such an easy win. I really wanted to support a "good" company like a dictionary by using an app (over using any other form of searching for a word) and this app SUCKS. Like I thought people might've been exaggerating, but the text selection is really frustrating. The worst part though, is that there isn't really a "browser" going on, and you can't go back when you go to a new word, only back to the front page. It's actively hard to use, and I will not be using it lol
