Sensible upgrades both in and out of combat, decent graphics and animations, smooth gameplay with little or no load times, and F2p friendly. Thank you, Devs! TLDR: One of EasyTech's best Campaigns are totally awesome, although a couple have huge difficulty spikes out of nowhere. I'm currently on HYW 1. Conquests are peak. The base conquests have so much interaction, and challenges can get really, well, challenging. The PvP is my least played part but it is still cool. I've made no in-app purchases and I haven't even used war drums yet (I have about 1500), and yet it's super good. One of Easytechs top 3 games so far, can't wait to see what's next
Gameplay in campaign is too wildly variable in difficulty from one map to the next (which defeats the purpose of having normal, hard, and nightmare modes), and difficulty in general seems centered around individuals who can just power their way through the content by forking over $$ in microtrans), otherwise you'll be burning through war drums in a big hurry. Best generals are also locked behind a paywall. I like the strategy, but the money pandering makes it a lesser game, not a better one.
This game has been a vast improvement since the last few games they have released. It is not too paid to win, you can still get good generals relatively quickly. It is sad to see that there are 6 generals you buy with real money. The conquest is really good, it is a little annoying having to do the first campaign, but it does acquaint you with the game, and it helps.
