I love the easy german team and their programs are wonderful. Seedlang is a great vocab/flashcard app. It has a very large bank of words where a pronunciation is given that they seem to always be adding too, as well as the ability to make your own. If you pay, you can do gender practice, verb conjugation of the various tenses, and more. The free app is wonderful, but for me the paid version has been well worth my money.
I love this app. I've been learning German for a little over a year and recently realized that my vocabulary needed to expand (greatly). I used the app here and there before and thought it was useful. But I've started to use it even more over the last week or so (since I arrived in Germany for vacation). I will say that it has helped immensely. I wish I had used it more in der Vergangenheit. While I have a long way to go on my language journey, Seedlang is helping me feel more confident.
Theae guys are starting, I see a lot of potential here, it is way more organic than duolingo, real humans, with way more kinds of excercises, videos, games, and challenges. I was paying duolingo but I'll change my subscription to this one in the future, I'm impressed how far they have arrived, I started watching their videos years ago in youtube, best wishes!
I found this app via the EasyGerman YouTube channel. The app has three main features: Stories, Vocabulary, and Trivias; these categories use videos with a nice group of people that make you feel safe to try practicing German. The app is very immersive, all the videos are spoken in clear German and most have subtitles when it applies, so you get used to pronunciation and accents from the different people in the activities. I like that more than the language, you learn culture, general knowledge, and when/where to use certain phrases. The way they teach you is like you're already in Germany and hanging out with friends, so it's good for foreigners like me or people who want to come over to visit. For the content, the Stories category looks like the EasyGerman videos, but now you can repeat certain parts of the video and compare it to the original, which makes it better to practice pronunciation. The Vocabulary lets you try first and they give you the rules of the language, at the end you can repeat the parts you fail and get it right, so it feels less of a punishment and more that you're improving. The Trivia category has trivia for the German language itself but also has general culture facts from German speaking countries, Europe, and history facts (I learnt the first postal stamp in Germany was in 1872!). Additionally, the customer support is very polite, nice, and fast! I was surprised that they took their time to write back with actual helpful info (some apps have a very slow process or have noticeable bots). Thanks to the entire team for developing such a great app, the Pro Version worths every cent. If you want to learn with an app that treats you like a person and feels real, this is the one you need. PS: so far I've just seen Cari and Manuel in the videos, can't wait to see Janusz! I will try all the exercises until I find him :D
