About This App
The Boots Hearingcare app provides you access to enhanced hearing controls and personalization options for your Phonak and AudioNova hearing aid(s) as well as a host of rich functionalities to tailor your Boots Hearingcare hearing experience to your needs.
The Remote Control enables you to easily make changes to your hearing aid(s) to suit your personal preferences for various listening situations. You can easily adjust the volume, sound and various hearing aid features (e.g., noise reduction and microphone directionality) or select pre-defined programs according to the different listening situation you are in.
The new Hearing Aid Finder helps you locate the last place your hearing aids were connected to the app, making it easier to find them if they go missing. This optional feature requires background location services to work, meaning it can track the last known location even when the app is closed or not in use.
You can conduct a Hearing Test as a self-screening to check your hearing ability and save your results by creating your personal Boots Hearingcare Account. The Account will also empower you to book and manage your appointments and communication preferences. The Hearing Loss Simulator replicates what it is like to have hearing loss and use a Hearing Instrument to help you and your loved ones better understand the potential benefits of using a Hearing Instrument.
Remote Support allows you to meet with your hearing care professional through a live video call and have your hearing aids adjusted remotely (by appointment). Also finding your nearest Boots Hearingcare store is available at your fingertips - getting in touch with us has never been easier.
Finally, the Boots Hearingcare app allows setting up notifications such as cleaning reminders and provides a rich set of information about hearing health, including the in app instructions for use.
Boots Hearingcare is compatible with Phonak and AudioNova hearing aids with Bluetooth® connectivity. Google Mobile Services (GMS) certified Android devices supporting Bluetooth 4.2 and Android OS 11.0 or newer. Phones with Bluetooth low energy (BT-LE) capability required.

I don't think the app is really needed, it does the same as the Phonak app (you probably have Phonak hearing aids if you went to Boots as they push that brand, given they have the same parent company), I don't need a duplicate. This one also seems less reliable. It wouldn't pair with my HAs for ages, had to restart my phone twice before it worked. Then, it lost connection twice within a few hours. I only downloaded it as it said you could use it to adjust tinnitus masking. You can't.
About 2 weeks ago I was prompted to download app update and since then have been unable to access Phonak Spheres through the remote control button. Keeps saying aids not connected. Have tried everything,even appointment at Boot's but they couldn't fix it either.Will have to make another appointment and hope. So frustrating. Expensive aids I cannot access.
purchased hearing aids back in March, not cheap, sadly rushed into hospital shortly afterwards with serious health issues. Am now able to try sorting my hearing aids, but app would not take birth date details, then locked me out. Yes tried ringing number but gave up, went to local store, consultant had no more luck. Would recommend the practice but not the app.
Absolutely shocking experience trying to create an account. Said I needed cookies enabled and also said I had to contact a number because my account is locked. I have uninstalled this app and would give it zero stars if I could. When I try to call boots hearing care to book an appointment no one answers the phone either. I won't be using or recommending any boots services to family or friends in the future due to this poor experience and poor customer service.
