Great time waster. No ads, unless you choose to watch them for rewards. Build your city how you want it. My only complaint is the lack of variety in the buildings so my neighborhood can have more diversity unlike the cookie cutter look it has now. Also, it would be nice to build a parking lot/garage so my citizens could park downtown. We could buy it along with our other buildings to have more variety instead of repeating businesses to fill an empty space. Candy store, a tailor, other options.
I honestly love this game. It doesn't have the same obnoxiously competitive feel of some of the other city builders where it seems to just turn into a quest to have the most of the "best" buildings (even if they are ugly). Not needing to worry about citizen health or water usage helps to make cities look more realistic (you don't need ten billion water towers for a few large buildings) The building design is genuinely gorgeous. I hope that they continue to add more, because I'll keep playing.
This game is just how I like it! It's enough to keep me busy & engaged. I have the freedom to make my city look how I want. Cons... there could be more variety in the decorations; the rd options could have more variety ie. stone &/or brick options; the cost of land expansions are very expensive (how do some expand to the other islands?). My biggest complaint is the freaking ads! I'm willing to watch for rewards, but NOT a whole minute+!! 30 seconds is enough!
Have enjoyed these games before, and this one doesn't disappoint. Good graphics and very nice, detailed buildings. Getting kind of expensive, but until all buildings cost gold, I will continue to enjoy. UPDATE -Just reached level 5 and already all buildings available cost gold, and no way to replenish without spending real money. So, guess I'm uninstalling. So disappointing.
