It's really, really bad. It's supposed to just be plague inc skinned with X-COM playing as the aliens but it falls far short. As with plague, one random island closing the port will tank your entire playthrough. Aliens with spacecraft somehow can't get to japan or Madagascar. In game upgrades are very poorly explained. Some broken English but mostly the descriptions are just to vague to understand. The strategy to win is easy. Just upgrade Adaption & colonization before military. But flip a coin to see if the ports close early on you. And it has no replay value. If you want to play other races you have to pay money or grind the same map over and over with the greys. It's just a bad experience.
I think the game is great. I hear a lot of complaints about the difficulty but that is the appeal; However, there is a MAJOR problem that I'm not sure is even legal. I got one of the dlc factions, deleted the game, got the game again and lost that dlc faction. To my knowledge, there is not a restore purchases option so I just have to bite my tongue or repurchase the same dlc. Shady and should be resolved.Also, restore progress option should be added.
Its okay. The game looks like you got random pictures and slapped it in without thinking about it. It feels lazy and takes a while for you to get used to it. The bomb is flawed, can't slow it down much nor reduce it. Sometimes the touch to destroy planes doesn't work. Awareness doesn't change the game, 5% of awareness will get the bomb made. You can't do stealth or go passive first because it doesn't matter.
Extremely challenging. Have tried several different strategies but it seems growth isn't balanced well enough to warrant a win unless you use specific strategies that most won't find unless played atleast 5 times (each match is about 10-30 mins). Not my idea of fun. Loss of a star for the difficulty. Loss of a star for the imbalance of growth. If you're into strategy games that will annoy you more than any other game on the market, this one's for you!
