As you play, use Gold to add new actions and champions to your deck. When played, those actions and champions generate powerful effects, give you additional gold, and attack your opponent and their champions. If you reduce your opponent's health to zero, you win!
[Non-Collectible Deck Building Game]
Hero Realms does not require you to collect new cards. You start every game with a basic deck, and will acquire cards from the shared center row to build up your deck and defeat your opponent. Victory rewards skill, and not your collection of rare cards!
[Level Up Your Heroes]
Create a hero from one of several classes (free players start with the Fighter and Wizard available). Level them up with new skills, abilities and equipment, and take them to battle in thrilling Online PVP. Hero Realms uses fair match making, only allowing matches between equal levelled heroes. However, if you feel daring, you can choose to engage in combat against higher levelled opponents for additional XP and bragging rights.
[Cooperative Online Play]
Hero Realms also features online co-operative play. Battle against challenging AI bosses with another human player as a partner. Free players have access to the Pirate Lord mission, with other co-op missions available with the Base Set purchase.
[Single Player Campaign]
For offline play, take on the Welcome to Thandar campaign. Fight your way through scripted, story-based chapters against varied AI opponents.

User Reviews
I love the physical version of this game, and was excited to play it digitally. However, when I tried the tutorial or playing against AI on my chromebook, there were many stats on the cards that were blanked out. These included my and my opponent's health points, the purchase cost of many of the cards, the value within gold and attack symbols on many cards, the total gold and attack values after playing cards, etc. This is unplayable. It seems to work on my phone, but not my tablet or chromebook
I got the base set because I love the physical Star Realms card game and have a couple expansions. This app, however, was a waste of money. The app runs poorly and the game is poorly designed. Whereas Star Realms is quick and satisfying with meaningful strategy, this game slogs for turn after turn and winning never really feels like you had much to do with it. If these are the same cards as the physical release then I'm not going to buying it. Very disappointing.
This is a single match deck building game where you and an opponent take turns drafting cards from a central pool. Note that the free version available is basically a demo. There are no ads, but most of the classes, cards, and features are locked behind a single $9.99 us fee. The game is fun enough in the short run but the limited selection of pool cards and game options in the free version grows stale very quickly. Recommend checking it out but I was never tempted to pay to keep playing.
So this is hard for me because I am a huge fan of the series. HERO REALMS AND STAR REALMS. This game is fantastic on Player vs AI mode. Understanding games mechanics helps win matches as well as Understanding basic deck builder mechanics. Table top version is bit different with a type of chose your own adventure style. I am waiting for more content. Now for the online play there's quite a few issues in real-time matches. Game has a lot of potential and growing room but its not a five star yet.
