Codewords Pro is an app to play Codewords (also known as Codebreaker), a popular word game similar to crosswords. It features several hundred free puzzles as well as 2 daily puzzles.
Codewords puzzles are similar to crosswords, but instead of clues, each letter has been replaced by a number from 1 to 26, and you need to figure out which letter each number represents.

Game is easy to navigate and has an easy mode and a difficult mode. I've tried crossword puzzles many time and always end up quitting because of one or two words which I cannot find. This game gives you choices in the form of "letter" hints all over the board, which help in solving the puzzle❗It's not too easy, but it's not too difficult for anyone ❗And, it does have a difficult mode, for those who want more challange.
It would be excellent if it used words that existed. Still debating whether to delete it, it's VERY frustrating, and that's not even the hardest level. Too many archaic words (or just poor English, that's possible too): Examples: rin, farer, contrasty, several Indian-English words, one using alt spelling.. Every hard ((level 3 of 4) puzzle I've done has had at least a couple like this, plus more that aren't in my good dictionary (which covers British&US&Aussie) It's too bad, lot of potential.
The controls and game play are logical, clean, and smooth. Oddly, the game doesn't appear tied to a single variant of English; sometimes using UK, sometimes American (individual puzzles seems consistent, but a puzzle can use one, the next puzzle can be using the other). Other than inconsistent language variant used, it's a great game.
The ads aren't a problem because they're not even videos, and the vast majority of the game's just codeword puzzles, like the title suggests. Not only does it have easy and hard puzzles, it also gives to the ability to use the hint as many times as you want, with the penalty only beong that it adds more time to how long it took you to finish the puzzle. It puts the hint on a tile at random, which I have grown to like. All in all, this is a great game if you want to play a codeword puzzle game.
