This type of game is among my favorites. The game is predicated on changing the number assigned to each letter of the alphabet. Each set of puzzles have a number of games within its parameter. If you get stuck, you can sneak a peek at a letter. In order for me to finish all the games I've downloaded during a session, I always get a quick start by finding out one of the numbers/letters at the get-go. Puzzles are categorized by difficulty, so if you want to begin with easier ones, you can do that.
Looks like some people don't know that fill in is a TYPE of crossword puzzle, not typical crossword. I always liked fill in puzzles, and got them in those puzzle magazines. This game has both word and number fills. So far it works well. To future downloaders: Fill in is a real, known puzzle based on a grid where letters can cross over other letters. You are given the words themselves. Personally I hate the typical crossword puzzles, but I like fill ins. (Can you add a pause menu?)
I love these kinds of puzzles and they're so hard to come by! Thrilled to find this! DEV: more number packs please! My biggest complaint is the in app purchasing options are uninformative, which is really why I made this review. I looked everywhere and aside from buying a puzzle pack at a time the only other purchase option i saw was to buy all packs (including all future ones!) for a flat price. At present there are 22 PACKS TOTAL (including free ones) and THIS OPTION REMOVES ADS!
As good as the paper puzzle! The only thing that would make it better is if you could make notes. I can do harder puzzles on paper because I make notes about the length of the boxes - so I only count once; and I note possible letters (like candidates in Sudoku) where there are multiple possibilities - especially where you go multi-layers deep to determine the word. In this app, it is much easier to read & correct mistakes than pencil on newsprint!
