The app no longer works as advertised. Even with the paid version, you now have to manually approve the cleaning of every individual app cache, completely defeating the purpose of an automated cleaning app. I contacted AVG for support, but they were unable to resolve the issue. Their only customer support option is by phone—there's no email or contact form. Google refuses to issue either a full or prorated refund. I paid for a product that no longer functions.
UNINSTALLING. I previously gave this app a 4 star rating. I watch ads to pay for my subscription which probably makes more $ than an subscription. I have to watch approximately 2 ads before I can even clean. then to continue the clean I have to tell it to watch ad... which never happens. they can show me 2-3 ads until this point. STOP WASTING MY TIME WITH YOUR UNDERHANDED WAYS. IF YOU CAN SHOW ME UP TO 3 ADS BEFORE YOU CAN ALSO DO IT WHEN REQUESTED. SCAM. Now I'm searching for an honest company.
Too many notifications and unnecessary requests to upgrade and pay more, and more. UPDATE. I paid for the app. I selected 'no' to some excessive and intrusive requests, but the app continues to ask me for more permissions to gain access. At some point, the app should recognize this and stop requesting additional access and notifications. It is already working in the background. Stay in the background and refrain from constantly seeking affirmation and perspective. I am canceling the membership
Let me save those looking for a hidden cache cleaner some trouble: you won't find a free one. I've spent the last three hours downloading all kinds of apps, from well-known to unknown, and not one of them had a hidden cache/junk cleaner that you could use for free. It's like they all suddenly went to a meeting and decided to remove it from free versions, since it USED to be included with all apps' free versions. But not now. So, just buy this subscription. 1year=$12, 1mo.=$3/$4 (I forget which).
