This is more of a remake than a sequel, which is fine because I love the original. New mechanics on existing cards is a bit jarring but I'll get used to it. But why is there no movement indicator on the cards? I dont know how far a card can move until I play it or if I've memorized it, and it's really dumb. Plz just add it back, it was in the first game, why not here? In fact just change the card back to old layout with attack on the left and health on the right, it looked so much better
The more you play but don't pay, the worse your experience becomes. Once I hit player level 150 it became an absolute RNG nightmare. The odds will be stacked against you more and more as you progress into triple digits - unless you provide dollars later in the game. Net decks and only ranked play. Don't make it free if you have a problem with casual free players! The RNG hell really started after the last "preload" of future content. Now there is an add to preorder. Pay or suffer!
Game has a really fun and interesting concept. Problem is too many cards are RNG based. Either they generate random cards, play random units, target random cards on board, discard random cards, attack random units, etc. Makes deck building not important because everyone's deck is full of cards that generate other cards so you end up playing with cards that you didn't put in your deck, for better or worse. Cool game for casual card game players. Though competitive players should skip this.
The game is fun, but it needs to massively upgrade the ui. Many of the cards don't fully say what they do and you are just left to guess. This is extremely problematic when you encounter a card for the first time, and you don't know exactly it can do. Makes some games extremely annoying when you lose. There are still a lot of interesting cards, decks, and mechanics, so I hope this game can be improved.
