I'm really enjoying this game! Some things aren't explained great and took a while to figure out/I'm still figuring them out, but this is like a really cool puzzle type game. Plus, the breeding for specific genetics is so cool and interesting; so far, the colors and patterns are extremely varried to the point that I have yet to see duplicates. Time and effort has 100% been put in to ensure variety. If the help/info buttons were just a bit more thorough, this would definitely be 5 stars.
Overall a very engaging and entertaining game-- a great adaptation of the pc version. However, I don't know if its just me, but the app has a tendency to randomly crash pretty often, way more than any app i've had on this phone. There's a lot of noticeable bugs as well, like glitching sprites and backgrounds, the foraging nicheling selection sometimes scrolling forever... I guess it says a lot that it doesnt bother me enough to put the game down, but its still strange how often it crashes.
I own both the mobile version of this game and the PC version. Obviously, the PC game is more detailed and better. However! I really enjoy playing the mobile version. The overall simplicity of it and everything is so nice and I don't need to have wifi to play it so on a long road trip, I can always rely on this one to keep me company. This version is easy to understand and the controls all make sense. Definitely worth the little bit of money that I payed.
I love this game. I downloaded it a couple of months ago and I am still playing which is awesome because I usually lose interest pretty quickly. I have a couple of suggestions. First, it'd be kewl if you could have friends and maybe visit their islands. My daughter and I both play and it would be kewl if we could share our guys to get different genes and stuff. Second, we need more levels. Oh also, I wish there was a way to accumulate food over time. Something to look forward to when I log in.
